CEO Urges Prospective Architects to Be Mindful of Children-friendly Urban Planning
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of our Center, Dr. Kebede Worku, has encouraged young architects to be mindful of child-friendly urban planning.
The CEO urged the prospective architects of the architectural school of the Addis Ababa University at our office while presenting posters of their architectural design proposals for playgrounds in various urban and rural areas in Ethiopia.
The CEO applauded the young architects for doing outstanding playground designs that consider the specific climatic natures, cultural values and natural endowment of the respective regions in Ethiopia.
Deputy CEO of the Center, Dr. Meseret Zelalem, also appreciated the projects of the student architects and expressed her conviction that they will also elevate their play-ground designs by considering additional facts and realities of early childhood and small kids from birth to six year and even to twelve years of age in the years to come.
Over 25 of the 150 student architects who attended university courses and a separate briefing by Dr. Natnael Asres of our center on play-ground design took part in the poster presentation at our center.
